Here is Where My Journey Begins

I'm Meg.  Plain and simple.  Just like me...well sort of.  I'm currently, (on April 11, 2012) 24 years old and living at home with my parents while I attend school.  I'm studying Philosophy but have a strong passion for the Arts.  When I say Arts, I don't mean stuck up museums that you feel like you can't talk in.  I mean raw photography, singing your heart out until you're about to cry, and writing about those things that break you down.  I've never been really good with speaking words, so I decided to write them out.  Attach them to things to make them seem more concrete.  Maybe someday I'll be recognized and things will pick up.  But until then, here is a sneak peak of one of my poems.

Edging to the edge

Finding my balance on the ledge.

This is my dying pledge.

Everything I have set before me is my final vow

That tomorrow will never come for me now.

You see me here and you wish me away

Then tomorrow you'll wish you had another day.

But then again what is I weren't to fall,

What is I were to stand my ground and be tall?

Maybe then you'll realize I'm more than I seem,

I'm more like the brightest sun beam.

I move away from the edges face,

I sit upon the sturdy base.

I contemplate all that I have done,

I realize that there has been a lot of fun.

I feel loved and I feel fine

But there will always be something to make me feel the bind.

I weep from the deepest part of my heart,

But I know that I finally found my part.

You think you can save the lost soul?

From the pities of your grander goal?

Maybe then you'll realize I'm more than I seem,

I'm more like the brightest sun beam.
